A funeral, a carseat and lots of mud

My uncle passed away Friday evening. Dad seemed ok but that was his last brother and he already lost his mom, aunt and brother in the last 4 years. He came down Sun morning to get me and Sophia and then off to Iowa we went. I haven't been there since Nov 2003. Dad was able to see my uncle a few times towards the end. It was a lovely service (it seems odd to say that about a funeral but it was lovely). He wrote a letter to his kids, wife and friends and it was read at the funeral. That's when we all lost it. He was never good at saying how he felt but he could write the hell out of it and get what he wanted said eloquently. Sophia hates the carseat now. She was in it for 4 hours going to Iowa, then she was out for 4 hours at the visitation. She was in it pretty much the whole day Mon. By the time we got home she had to be held the whole time or else she thought she was getting strapped back in. Poor kid. It was a gorgeous day Sun and if I were to pick the weather for my funera

Time for a change....

I'm always up for trying new things (within reason - I know, makes no sense to say I'm up for new things if I set limits but I do have those limits, so there). I figure if I'm gonna be taking tons of pictures all the time (and when haven't I done that?) then I should at least have a place where I can tell people the dish on us at home AND give you some viewing pleasures as well. So yeah, here I am. It's 1am though and I'm needing some sleep. The baby will be up about 2 minutes after I close my eyes so I must go now and get the sleep I can. I'll get to this stuff tomorrow. Lata..............
