I Can't Stop Laughing......

So I'm reading this , because I love everything she writes ( here too ) and these videos? They are making me giggle. Giggle to the point that I am waking the baby up. So not good. Then I get to the comments and this video was linked. People? It has taken me at least fifteen minutes to type this up without typos. I need a tissue. Several please. If I don't stop soon, I could very well......oh let's not go there.

Well That Was Fun

I knew I wouldn't be able to go too far with the posting every day *but* I think I did pretty damn well for a long time. You know whose fault this is? His: I don't know that there are words that can accurately describe Eric. Well, none that can go here at least. his: touch football indeed and his too:  cause he cracks me up, hookah! and her: who wouldn't want Tara at their side to say what they can't? oh hell, them too: I watched all three seasons in the last week.  I've got to catch up on Dexter and Bones. Plus the husband rocked it out for my birthday in May and got me Freaks and Geeks on DVD.  Love that show and can't wait to watch it again!

We're Talking THIS Big

The theme for this month at NaBloPoMo is Big. I realize that today is April Fool's Day and I couldn't give two shits about that. Staying true to this month's theme: Yesterday? One large, overflowing, pungent, BIG piece of shit. No exaggeration people. BIG PIECE OF SHIT day. Wanna know why? Of course you do! How could you not with that enticing intro right? Here's how yesterday made it to that glorious state: I got approximately 2 hours of sleep. Not in any consecutive form either. There's a teething baby. All sorts of awesome there. The boy got on the bus just fine. I was feeding the girls breakfast (my two girls and my 2 year old niece ). The school called. You can see where this is going yes? My seven year old boy was suspended. Again. For the third time. This time it's for three days. There goes the week. Worse? It's his last week at this school. He'll be starting his new school next week. I'll post more on that later. I went to his school, had a...

What Will They Ask For Next?

The children asked me if they could have an email account last week. I thought about it and was going to say no because hello? They are 7 and almost 5. Then I thought some more and realized it wasn't a bad idea. The boy can practice his spelling and typing when writing to Oma and Papa and whomever else he deems worthy of a personal email. The girl can keep learning how to spell and improve her typing too. I even made one for the baby. Those should be interesting emails yes? Today the 4 going on 14 girl asked when she was going to have her own blog. Yikes. So yes, I have sucker written on my forehead and all went up and made her a page. It's just a super basic one with rambling thoughts of a four year old. Lots of love and pink are involved, contain your shock. Next thing you know, they're going to want a Facebook account. For as much as they've watched me farm on there (shush, it's relaxing and fun!) I'm surprised they haven't already asked. I have the e...

Perpetual Motion People

I have experienced it today. I don't think there was a time (other than when I was driving) today that my body wasn't moving. Oh let's not get crazy and think that I was exercising because that? That would get you committed to the loony bin. No, I gave up exercising last year and have been toying with the idea of starting up again but gosh, doesn't that mean I have to exert...what's that called? Energy? Yeah, that stuff? Doesn't exist in my body. I've looked. My kids have Puh-lenty of it though. If only..... The Littlest Little had an ultrasound today and of course, we were misinformed on whether the doctor would talk to me afterwards or not. I was told he would be talking to me, the technician informed me (albeit nicely) that I would get a phone call on Monday . Awesome :::insert sarcasm::: The baby did well, was ogled by the nurses and declared so cute and oh my! Look at those chubby cheeks. Yes, thank you, I bake good looking babies. They get that cutenes...

I'll Take The Easy Way Out Because, Well Duh, It's Easy!

I'm anticipating the baby coming home with us today so I'm taking the easy road with today's post. I just know that when we get home with her, the kids are going to be all over her (at least the dictator will be). Plus, since we weren't expecting her for another couple weeks, I have to locate all the pump parts (the dictator likes to pretend she's a mama and plays with all that stuff and even though I've told her hundreds of times to not play with it, she doesn't listen, she's. a. dictator.) At any rate, here's some more of the littlest little for you to enjoy =0)

Here She Is

We don't have a nickname for her just yet but hello? Cutie patootie ahead!! It'll take me some time to write about her birth. To say it was traumatic would be an understatement of epic proportions. We're very thankful that she's here with us and healthy as she can be. I'll keep ya'll updated if anything big happens. We should be heading home on Tuesday afternoon. Thank you for all the well wishes that have been sent. We really do appreciate them =0)

Close Call My Internet Friends, Close Call

Well, we made it back from Fargo and the baby's still baking. It looked a little scary there this afternoon right before the service started. Lots of sharp shooting pains but they subsided, thankfully. There were a couple really hard contractions on the way home that made me nervous but I kind of ignored them and took a nap. If I thought about them too much I would have freaked out. On the way up to Fargo, I got a text that a coworker of mine was in the hospital having her baby. She was 9cm already. She's due the day after me. That didn't help my nerves at all. Anyway, we made it home safe and mostly sound. I've got photos from Mandyland's 21st (she doesn't remember saying bye to us) and tons of photos with the whole clan up north. The baby is moving around a lot and there's a ton of pressure. I kinda hope it's just me needing to pee. Now I have to show the husband how to blog for me lest my 365 (-3) goes down the toilet while I'm at the hospital. T...

It Has Been Decided, By Me Of Course

I think this whole blog everyday thing is pretty stinking ambitious on my part. I like to think that most of my posts are of some value (perhaps just to me but still, value none the less). There are times that it's just fluff. Meh. So what. I think I'm going to take one night off a month from blogging. Sometimes, something comes up and you don't even think about the choice. It's a no brainer. I had one of those times last night. I got to hang out with my brother in law, Pedro Juan. We talked for a couple hours and it was just like old times. We were serious, we were laughing, we just had a great time talking and hanging out. We haven't been able to do that in such a long time. All of us, hang out as a family. We miss it and now that things are changing for the absolute better, we can try to make up for lost time. Hopefully the he and the husband can start doing some things together again. The husband missed his brother so much. I've missed him. My kids have miss...

Epic Fail

In my sad, sad attempt to blog everyday (I knew I shouldn't have said it out loud or on screen, damn), I have already missed a day. You know what though? It's not a big deal. Sunday was a rough day for the boy. There are times when you just have to throw in the towel and say Uncle. I know how lucky I am to have my boy. To be his mom. To have him in my life. I wouldn't trade him in for an "average" child any day. He makes me laugh. He makes me think about things from a completely different perspective than a "normal" person. He makes me cry. He drives me nuts with the incessant question about this, that and anything and everything . Sunday was an Uncle day. He was so sick with that damn rotovirus that he would throw up his medication. There is no generic for one of his meds and of course, that's the one he would toss back up (not his fault). We made the decision that while he was sick, he wouldn't take that medicine. I don't know about ya'...

A Welcome Break In The Cleaning Mode

I just cleaned my desk and the table next to it. And by cleaned, I mean things are in nice little piles now. I have so much filing to do. A few thank you cards to get out. Some bills to pay. Yet what am I doing? I'm reading this fabulous blog where this awesome news is announced. Go out and pick up the latest issue of People magazine. They did a 4 page layout on this wonderful father and his precious daughter. I know that single dads are out there doing a great job raising their kid(s) by themselves. Well, most of them at least. There's something about Matt. I urge all of you to read about his wife, his daughter and their lives. If he doesn't serve as an inspiration, then I don't know what would. Check out the foundation , his blog and the new issue of People (it's on page 108) Thanks =0)

10x10 Though I May Need To Remeasure

I've seen this on several blogs and I figured I would tweak it to suit my family and life because, well, because I'm bored and don't want to organize the kids' room. Apparently my nesting is taking a break. Part one of two is below (I don't need to put ya'll to sleep with a super long ass post - this I know) Ten Things I Plan To Do In 2009 Have a healthy baby girl Visit my friends in LaCrosse more than twice Go on a vacation sans children with my husband Respond to emails and blog comments Organize my "office" space Keep said space in some sense of order Start my photography business Go to a Timberwolves game Get my secondborn's scrapbook of her first year done (before the third one's) Blog everyday (I can't believe I put that out there, now I'll fail. Help, I Need Somebody, Help, Not Just Anybody, Heeeeeelp!

So yeah, there's a lot of crap on that side of the page ya know? ~~~~~> I want to make this three columns wide. Two smalls on the sides and one large for my useless words and thoughts. I need to move some of that crap somewhere else and I'd rather the somewhere else not be the garbage. I'm still in Blogger. I have no clue how to go about getting my own domain name, what is a good cost, who to trust. So please, help a bloggin' sister out. Any helpful advice, tips, paths in the right direction would be AWESOME! I don't mind paying someone to hook me up. I would like to note however, I don't have one of those magical money trees. Thanks folks. I heart you all.* *except you people who come here for the Doodlebops sans makeup. I mean I like that I have "a lot"** of traffic but it's really rather depressing when 70% of it is from that alone. Christ, what else is out there to boost the traffic? Johnny does the Sprites and there is video? **and by a lo...

Some Great Reading Time!

I can 't tell you how much I'm looking forward to reading this book. The author, Rebecca Woolf, is a phenomenal woman who inspires me to stand up for my son's right in education and life in general. (Not that we have problems with his school but if we did? She's given me the courage to stand up for my boy). Her website is one of the best out there and I love reading about her life (kinda stalker-ish no? not intended). She's one of those bloggers that I'm always nervous about leaving a comment because I'm just a little ol' nobody here in Minnesota and she's a famous blogger. Kinda like Dooce . I think I've commented on her site once. Mostly that's cause I'm afraid I'll type something stupid and it would be the one time a comment wouldn't get swallowed up by the 1,839 comments on that post. Wow. Where was I? Oh yes, this book. It arrived in my mailbox 35 minutes ago and I've already ready the first two chapters. I think I could...

Just A Quick Pop In

Bless this woman's heart. We came to Mulligan's tonight because they have free Wi-Fi (I can't believe the cabins don't!). The manager of the place saw that the kids were getting disappointed that the game room downstairs wasn't open so she opened it just fo us. I love this woman. The kids are running around having a great time. I'm getting my internet fix and catching up on gossip. The husband is listening to his hockey game. All is good in our world. Just ignore the chocolate syrup on the girl's face. I am, as promised, keeping an old school blog. I wrote 4 pages for Sarturday alone. I'll take photos and then transcribe it because really, I can't read my own handwriting. I don't expect that anyone else will be able too. Oh and I've read two whole books since Sat morning. Good thing I brought 4 with. Tootles.

We're Calling It A Vacation

but we all know that's not what we'll be calling it when we get back. The husband and I are taking our heathens loverly children to the Dells for a week. Grandma Dorothy had a time share and instead of losing the week, my father in law offered it to us. We decided to do this place because really, who wants to fly with the aforementioned children? Not me, that's for damn sure. In theory, we have the following on the idea board whilst frolicking in the winter wonderland of central Wisconsin: Snow tubing, igloo making (that's what the boy calls it), swimming (indoors of course, we aren't that insane), snowball fights, grilling outside, sledding, etc. In what I like to call reality, we have the following on call for us: meltdowns, crying, snowballs in the face, meltdowns, falling off sleds, crying, knocked over walls in igloos, meltdowns, DVDs not working, she won't share the Wii, he hit me, meltdowns. Positive thinking isn't doing shit for me. Happy thought...

Two Seasons In The Midwest

Road construction and winter. If the site shows up wonky, things don't work or anything else, please let me know. I'm trying out some different things and I'm just an html idiot in need of serious help. Bear with me folks. Thanks for your patience. Drive slow.
