Migraines Make You Dum

So here I sit with my migraine and exhaustion. I can't sleep so my entertainment is relegated to watching Sunday late night television. For awhile there it was all CSI Miami, Without A Trace and Cold Case. I was in crime show heaven. Now it's Criminal Minds and N3mbers. I'm not really a fan of the latter though I do enjoy looking at  Rob Morrow.  I watched the "Secrets and Lies" episode of Criminal Minds. It was eh. I called it on the mole but that's not the point. And people? I know you're wondering just what the hell IS the point? I don't know. All I know is that I got a bug in my craw and just had to look for title of the episode (my crappy converter box doesn't tell me the title, bastard box*). I get all excited and find the episode title and summary and realize something. I have no idea what the hell I wanted to know about that episode or who was in it. Not a single blip in my brain while I was staring at the monitor.  4am. That's...

Well That Was Fun

I knew I wouldn't be able to go too far with the posting every day *but* I think I did pretty damn well for a long time. You know whose fault this is? His: I don't know that there are words that can accurately describe Eric. Well, none that can go here at least. his: touch football indeed and his too:  cause he cracks me up, hookah! and her: who wouldn't want Tara at their side to say what they can't? oh hell, them too: I watched all three seasons in the last week.  I've got to catch up on Dexter and Bones. Plus the husband rocked it out for my birthday in May and got me Freaks and Geeks on DVD.  Love that show and can't wait to watch it again!

7/24/10

I hate when the weather is crappy and the tv does this. *Especially* when it's my favorite show. I'm glad I can watch CraigyFerg online.

I Could Never Do It

I could never work in autopsy. I used to think I could be a forensic photographer but yeah, not so much anymore. I don't know that I could work with dead things in any capacity.  I say this and yet I absolutely love shows like CSI, NCIS and my newest favorite, Bones. I've just gotten done with a mini-marathon today of the show. Well, as much as the children would allow. They seem to really like interrupting the portable DVD player no matter what room I'm using it in. Yes, even that room.  Hopefully I can finish up season three tomorrow and then start my Angel kick. We have seasons one, three and four. I think I'll see about getting season two when I'm out and about. I can hardly wait. I haven't really watched Angel episodes in in so long so it should be fun to go back to them.  Plus I love me some David Boreanaz. Yummy.

High Expectations? I Hope Not

I really have nothing today people. And? I'm too tired to link any of these things below. Dom DeLuise died. That's pretty sad. Adam Lambert makes me want to throw up. Blech. Go Kris! Ty Murray looks gooood on Dancing With The Stars. My fingernails will never look this good again. Le sigh. That stack of magazines that I haven't read yet? That sits upstairs on the bookcase? That I was supposed to take to the hospital? Still sitting there.  My kids are still outside playing. It's dark. Grampa is very interesting when he's putting in a new rope swing apparently. My voice is coming and going. Frankly, I wish it would just go for a couple days. I'm sure others in the house wish that too. Ha! Happy Cinco de Mayo senors and senoritas.

Keep 'Em Coming Murphy

I don't know what I did to make Murphy mad but he's coming after me I think. Damn Murphy and his laws. I could have a colicky baby. Can I tell you how excited I am about that prospect? Very.  :::insert sarcasm::: Now I'm going to squeeze in an episode of CSI :NY then try to get some sleep.

Three Weeks And Counting

I know how lucky I am to be able to have children of my own. Carry them to term, take them home with me. I'm also a realist. I'm over being pregnant right now. There's zero room for her to move. There's zero room for my bladder to expand. For most of today I felt like crap. Wanted to throw up, achey all over. I had a headache that went to migraine status several times over. Leg cramps have been keeping me up nights. Yeah, I'm done. Thankfully there was an NCIS marathon on. I love me some DeNozzo .

Tivo It, DVR It, VCR It, I Don't Care

But please make sure you watch The Rachel Ray Show tomorrow, February 11th. Matt is going to be on telling he and Madeline's story. Please tune in to see them. Also, don't forget to check out the Liz Logelin Foundation . It's a great organization that helps widows and widowers with children. A group of people that are sadly overlooked a lot of the time. You can check what time the show is on in your area here . I'll post links to any clips or episode postings. Side note: Is it Rachael? Or Rachel? Her website says Rachael Ray but the web address says Rachel Ray. No matter, it sounds funny either way after you say it several times. Try it.

Oh Spike, VH-1 And Hallmark

How you entertain me. Thanks for the first season marathon of CSI. I forgot what a dick Brass was to Warrick in the beginning. And Grissom? Better with the facial hair thank you very much. Real and Chance . You make me laugh so much. Thanks for bringing those crazy ass women to my little screen. It was a train wreck that I enjoyed immensely. Hallmark, thanks for the cheesiness that was Nanny Express. Even though we knew how it would end, my mother in law and I still cried. Harry Dean Stanton still looks good for his age. See what you resort to watching when you're sick? But watching my six year old boy take a bucket with him everywhere he went in the house was so stinking cute.

Thanks, I Needed That!

If any of you watch Amazing Race, you know how the drill works. For those of you that don't, follow me here: Teams of two compete against other teams in challenges and a race all over the world. At the end of each part of the trip, one team gets eliminated. If you arrive at the Pit Stop mat last, you're outta here. There were 11 teams. I read the following quote from Reality Blurred and I don't think I've laughed so hard in a long time: When Phil told Nicholas and Donald, the grandson and grandfather, that they were team number five, they both stood there and looked at Phil blankly like he’d just said, “I like spaghetti, and Play Doh is my friend.” Then Donald said, “finally,” as if they’d been waiting all their lives to check in fifth at the first pit stop. If you're a really big fan of Phil, such as I, then you can totally picture him saying the play doh line. God I love this show.

Big Boys Don't Cry

I'm a reality tv whore. I can't get enough of the stuff. I've seen it all just about. Just today, I've watched parts of Rock of Love (though I missed 3/4 of the last episode and I SO wanted to see Lacey fall on the table drunk. Thank goodness that repeats are played 87 times), ANTM, The Coreys, etc. One show that I laugh at, no matter what is happening onscreen, is The Pickup Artist. Now listen, I'm not that heartless of a bitch to say that these fellas don't deserve some lovin'. They do. That being said.....why are you crying on national television on a show that is about you NOT being able to get a woman? I know you're insecure, I get that. Everyday, I feel the same way. I didn't hear what was said leading up to the bawling fest but good God men! Three of you, sitting there like someone took your lollipop away. Do you really want to take advice from this guy ? He wears a hat straight out of Alice in Wonderland and have you seen the Willy Wonka glas...

Let's Get Physical, Physical

I love me some Richard Simmons when I'm down and out (I'm not down and out though today). This is one of the funniest clips I've seen. I read that they don't get along and I think that's what makes it even funnier to me. The look on Simmons' face is just classic.

On The Road Again

to recovery that is. I finally got something for the pain. It takes the edge off and that's all I need really. Now I can go back to work. I know I sound crazy but I love my job and I hate calling in sick. I always feel bad wondering if they were able to cover my shift or not. I really shouldn't be caring but I like most of the people I work with and to think that they are having a rough time cause we're short a cashier makes me feel bad. I need to stop thinking that way. That's how I end up letting people walk all over me, I can't say no and I care too much about things that shouldn't worry me. Hmph. In other news, I have never seen an episode of DWTS but I've been rooting for Emmit Smith all along because, well duh, he's Emmit Smith . He'll always be my favorite Cowboy . TomKat is supposedly getting married this weekend. Thank God. Now I can sleep better at night knowing another celebrity couple has started their path to inevitable divorce. My fri...

Say What?

One of the more entertaining stories in the news today. I think I needed a cigarette after we watched this . It's gonna be a long winter. Ed Bradley , Jack Palance and Gerald Levert have all died this week. There's the trifecta of bad news. No more please. Unless it's FedEx . No, I kid, I don't wish his death. Permanent loss of voice? Sure. I have tomorrow off and need ideas of what to do with the husband and kids. It's suppposed to be 37 degrees, very sunny and only slightly windy. We want to do something outside the house but not expensive. Ha! Long list of requirements I know. I'm gonna look around the good ol' web and see what she has for me. Any ideas, send them this way. There's a new show coming on the The National Geographic Channel that I am really wanting to see. I love elephants, esp elephant babies. I think being a mom makes me want to see this too. Isn't this the stuff we were forced to watch in high school and we hated it? I find my...

Is Today The Day Mommy?

Every morning around 6ish, my son asks if today's the day. He is so excited about the Spongebob marathon that starts Nov 9. He truly understands the concept of Spongebob all day long. All. Day. Long. It will, after all, be "The Best Day Ever" . I know ya'll are looking forward to it. Yeah, me too. My saving grace will be that there's a new episode when it's all over and they'll play the movie on tv after that. We watched the movie about 5 1/2 times yesterday. It's still funny to me but I'm close to od'ing. Why do kids like repetitive things? I mean I will buy my some of my all time favorite movies but I've really got to like the movie to purchase it. Kind of like a cd, I have to really like the artist or the whole thing otherwise I feel like I have wasted my money. I know kids thrive on structure and the repeating of everything. Everything. Sometimes I'm just befuddled as to why they like it. If I have to hear the same thing more ...

Lord, Help Us All

Things that I absolutely can't stand When I ask someone "What's wrong?" and I get nothing back. Not "Nothing". I mean nothing. No response, no shrug. Just a blank stare. Well, that's something I guess. When someone tails me while I'm going the speed limit in a speed trap zone. When I put my signal light on with plenty of time for the ass above to slow down and then they come literally within an inch or so of hitting me and then get pissed and flip me off. Ya know what Sparky? I have no air in my car or house, my period's coming and it's hotter than hell outside. Did I mention I was wearing hot (not ooh she's hot hot) jammie pants cause I haven't shaved in two weeks and you can see the forest blooming on my legs? Yeah that tends to add to the bitter and anger. BACK OFF. Communication. Communication. Communication. I have to tread lightly here so I don't get in trouble. I try to communicate with people. When they don't want to t...

I Don't Think This Was In The Sermon

Speaking of Jesus is coming......Someone needs to tell the lady driving the red neon this info. The Captain and his dad were going up north to work on fencing in property the family has up there. They pull into the SA for some gas and treats. There is one spot open that would accomodate the truck and trailer but some lady has parked her Neon about 4 feet from the pump. My FIL parked about a foot away from the pump he was at. So now they are next to each other at the pumps. She goes to get in her car and hits my FIL's truck with the door . He was washing the back window and looked around the corner at her. He came up to her car and smacked his hand on the trunk and said "What do you think you're doing?". Oh. My. God. This lady, wait, no, this broad, goes into the station and starts yelling at the employees that some jerk just hit her car and she wants them to do something about it while she takes down the license plate and calls the cops. The Captain was in there and...

Big Brother Is Watching

All Stars baby!! I signed up for the live feeds and oh am I excited. It's a little boring now what with them "getting to know each other" even though we've seen them all on the show before. It's gonna be interesting as the game goes on. I'll hold off on who I think will win until we get going a little more. Two days off from work and I have to say, I kinda missed it. Sad, I know. Monkey Boy has decided that he's " going ghost " all the time now. Usually when he's being punished. It's fun let me tell you. :::rolling eyes::: Little Miss Peanut needs to reign her inner diva in right now. If she ain't happy, no one is. It's not pretty. My husband's cousin, The Big B, stopped by today with his other grandparents on his way back to the airport. Monkey Boy told him to get out of his house. That prompted the first "We love all of our family and we welcome them in our house" speech. Then he told ME to get out. I just keep re...

And He Shalled Be Named......

The Captain, But That's Not What He Was Named For (TCBTNWHWNF) That took way too long to type out; no acronym for him. When my husband was a baby, my mother in law introduced him to her Gramma and when told what his name was, the dear woman said, "That's ok, he can change it when he grows up". Take a moment for yourselves. Did you feel the warm fuzzies? I know I did. His name is Kirk. Like the Captain, but that's not what he was named for. I always get Curt or Kurt? No, the two Curts I know are my dad and my cousin's husband and the only Kurt I know (personally - I just thought of Kurt Warner) is my friend's husband. He is named Kirk. Two Ks. Juuuuuuuuuuust like the Captain though to my knowledge he has not had to deal with Tribbles .He hasn't worn a shirt that shade of pea soup poop green either. Unless his mom has photos and if she does, they are so going on here. He is a huge Trekkie though. Not an interesting story, I know, but I had to give the m...
