I Think I'll Hand Write These As Well, For That Special Warm Fuzzy Touch

Dear Jerry Jones,    Thank you. It took you long enough. Sincerely, Long Suffering Fan since 1978 (I wanted to be a cheerleader and the devotion to the boys stuck through the years. Don't judge please!) Dear Brad Childress,      I don't know what to say. You should resign? You should change tactics? You should do something different? I just don't know. Something needs to happen. People have their underwear all in a bunch over such ridiculous things. Focus on the game I say. And can we just agree to go for it when we are 4th down and less than 3 yards out? kthanxbye, Long Suffering Wife of Fan (and a fan herself so long as we aren't playing the 'Boys) Dear Jeff Fisher,      Dear lord why? Also? Good luck. Loves to you, Me

NaBloPoMo 2010 - Putting The Big Girl Panties On

Hello November (say it the Jerry Seinfeld voice - DO IT!)..........Well well well, what have we here? Another November is upon us. What does this one bring? I'll tell you what this one brings: A lot of grief. Of the football variety. People, you have no idea how it saddened my husband to learn that the Vikings put Randy Moss on waivers today. Serrrsly . It boggles his mind. He never thought the Vikings would be on this road to what? Misery? A trainwreck? It's worse than when they lost last year in the playoffs. Dare I say, it's worse than when the Twinkies lost to those em effing stinkin' Yankees. My husband loves all things sports related. Ya'll have heard of Deer Widows right? Well, I have it worse than that. That? One weekend. Two if they bow hunt. Me? I've got that when it's football, baseball, hockey and college hockey and football season. AND don't even get me started on the godforsaken Gopher football program. My husband says the Eden Prair...

10/17/10

Were you ready for some football?? We were so we went and had ourselves a good time.  I took about 120 photos and I'd say 84 of them are shots like this one:  Listen now, my 'Boys were giving the game to ya Vikings. Took ya'll long enough to take it.  I don't even know what to say about the 'Boys. Tasting new flavors of Mt. Dew. Out of 8 of them? Maybe 2 tasted halfway decent. The rest? Blech. oh and oh yeah, Gross I think I just threw up a little in my mouth! Yep, good times a the Metrodome! I don't know who Paula is but I hope she said yes. We got these FavVision things free for being season ticket holders.  Saw some guy renting/selling them. Should see how much they go for. We were able to watch other games, see replays, watch the camera angles  they show on the tv, set up fantasy football. I liked it but I don't know that we'll keep it after the 2011/2012 season. The subscription fees are waived the first two years.  I shudder at the thoug...

Game Day Attire

Like father, like son. The boy just said that he wants to play football with Brett Favre when he grows up. Not sure about that one buddy. Come on guys, let's make it 5-0 today!! And my Cowboys better get their asses in gear and pull in some wins already. Gall dang they know how to make a girl sad.

First Game For The Boy

He seemed to have fun, made friends with some lady in the row in front of them and got all decked out in his gear. Something tells me he's going to a lot of games this year with Daddy. He's making his Mama proud. Now if only he was going to be in town for the Cowboys game! Ho-daddy that's gonna be a great night! Can't wait to wear my Cowboys jersey to the 'dome and have a great girl's night out at a game!

Balderdash!

At least it wasn't a blowout. Thank goodness for small things. No customers said anything about the game when they came in tonight. That being said, it was the slowest I've ever seen for a non holiday. I was diggin' it though. I got a ton of stuff done and organized the hell out of the reset product. Now if the warehouse would get all the smokes in that people are asking for. I mean how long can you be out of freakin' Virginia Slims? Oh well. Having reviewed the commercials, these are my favorites. Feel free to agree or disagree in comments. 1. Hulu - I don't like Alec Baldwin, generally speaking. But the man is hilarious. 2. Cheetohs - Bwahahahaha. Bitch. 3. Nextel Roadies - Buckle up dudes. Heh. Did you watch the game? Like any commercials? Still sad the Cardinals lost? There, there, it's ok.

Are You Ready For Some Football?

I am but sadly, I'm also an idiot and forgot to ask for the day off tomorrow. Guess what I'm working. 5-930. Convenient yes? I thought so. So, who are we rooting for? I'm going with the sentimental favorite, at least to me, and cheer on Arizona for the big win. Big win indeed if they can pull it off. Nothing against Big Ben and the Steelers but AZ holds a special place in my heart. Have fun watching the game folks and fellas, please, let's remember that the coaches, refs, players, camera guys, whoever, can't hear you when you scream at the tv. Of this, I'm pretty sure. Have a drink for me too.

What's That You Say?

I love my 'Boys .* Next year my son will be joining the class of 2021. That will be 30 years after I've graduated. Yeah, that looking like a teenager thing isn't sounding so bad right now. First major S-N-O-W storm is supposed to be coming on Saturday. That's right, I spelled it out. It's a bad four letter word. Other "spell only" words are chocolate, Yo Gabba Gabba, Wii, Boxing and School. The boy broke my heart as I was leaving preschool today. He didn't want me to leave (always) and I don't know how to help him with the transition. Well, any transition that goes smoothly is a huge win in my book (a book that is chock full of sad, pathetic losses my friends). His teachers told me to just go and they would handle him. I was crying when I left. I hate when I do that. The other moms are looking at me or even worse, some are looking at him and you see on their faces what they are thinking. Kinda hard to hide that look of disgust lady. Them looking at...

Oh Happy Day

I got to visit with my sister in law today and I am so happy about that. I never get to see her because I'm always working nights and weekends and she works days so yeah, it sucks. She's due to have her first child, a girl, on February 28th. I told her to be careful, it's a leap year coming. I miss not being able to visit with her and talk about her pregnancy and how she's doing. I mean emails aren't the same ya know? I'm more of a face to face kinda person (unless I don't like you, then emails are fabulous). When I was pregnant, I loved it and loved to talk about it. OK, that's a rather stupid statement. I love to talk about anything really. It's true. Ask my friends what I do the most and they'll say talk. It's a talent. I'm going to maker her a blanket so that she and the babe can snuggle together on those cold ass March nights. Yikes, Minnesota blows when it's winter. There's a joke in there somewhere but my brain can't ...

Ch-ch-changes

Turn and face the strain, ch-ch-changes. Wha? Oh, sorry. Sidetracked again. Moving right along. I think I want to cut my hair short. Shorter than it was the last time G cut it. I'm kinda scared to do it. I had it super short when I lived in AZ eons ago but I was also 20 years old. I'm nowhere near that age anymore. I wonder if I'll look like an older broad trying to look young and hip (I can't believe I just typed that) or if it'll look natural on me. Gah! I hate this indecision. I looked at hundreds of photos in the last hour and a half. I found two that I like. Sad. Here they are: So what do we think? The blonde one too short? Let's keep in mind that I am so low maintenance that I'm no maintenance. I'm lucky if I get to blow dry my hair (I am trying to make time for it G!) I just need some opinions other than my husband saying "Whatever you do, it'll look great". Let's refresh everyone on what I look like. Prepare yourselves: Oh look ...

Wana Do Something?

Check this out and vote! I see Sarah's Bucs are pretty low there on the totem pole. What the hell is with all the Packer fans? My father must be voting several hundred times. I think the amount of votes they have is more than Green Bay's actual population . (It is. By a LOT. Scary) Also scary is the votes outnumber the largest city's population . Naturally I voted for my boys and the Vikes just to keep peace in the house. The kids must be destroying their room quietly if I had enough time and patience to put all them there links in. I should probably look in on 'em yes? Up next.......My Christmas List Part 1

Dear Customers,

Im not specifying any particular customer because this is for all of you that are planning on coming to my store today: If the Vikings are winning, YAY!! WOOHOO!! That's awesome! All of the cashiers will be in a good mood. However, :::taking a deep breath::: if they are losing (or have lost by the time you get to the store) please do not take it out on us. I am not responsible for Brad Johnson and whatever screwups he makes. Isn't that someone else's job like oh, I don't know, Childress? I know our offense blows the big one. Combine that with you not getting what you want in the store, I can see where you'll get frustrated. Just take a deep breath. Remember that no matter what, the Packers suck. They won't play in the big game for years. YEARS. The Bears? Have no worries. They get so arrogant that they end up helping the other team beat them. The Patriots was just a bad night. Please people, it's not the end of the world. The store has nothing to do with the...

Thanks For The Berman Man

Last night started out great, ended on a good note. All that crap in the middle? Not so much. A recap in photos: Yes, Yes it is One hour to go Goooooooooooo Vikings!! Then it all went down hill. I'll give the Patriots credit, they are an awesome team. I really wish the Vikings had shown up to the game. I would have taken a couple pics of Bollinger but um yeah, he was sacked on every play of the only drive he was out there. These two asshats could have been kicked in the head and I don't think a single soul would have reported the perp. I understand cheering for your team but yeah, these dipshits went beyond that. They didn't care that the couple behind them (elderly I might add) asked them to not drop the F bomb. They would turn to all of us behind them and yell "That's what the F we're talking about" whenever the Pats would do something good (and let's face it, there were plenty of F bomb opps that night). They were just asshats. I would use a stron...
