Bachelorette Party!!!

Happy Birthday

To my dear friend Mandy, I hope you have a BIG fabulous birthday! I'm going to bed now. No repeat of last year, I had a couple drinks this time people. They were delicious. The end.

A Trifecta Of Happy

Oh people. Where do I even begin with this day? It was a good day. Great day indeed! Let's just cut to the chase shall we? Muey Importante News Numero Uno : My sister in law Fluffy and her husband, Mr. Big, welcomed my newest niece into the world this afternoon. She looks just like her big sister, The Monkey. So damn cute and I can't wait to hold her. The Monkey is staying with us whilst her sister is adjusting to the lovely Minnesota winter weather. Congrats to Fluffy, Mr. Big and The Monkey!! Hey ya know what? Congrats to the newest girlie girl in our lives too! We're a crazy, loud family (well your cousins are, sorry) but we're family and we can't imagine us without you ! Welcome baby, welcome home. Muey Importante News Numero Dos : Mandyland done up and got herself engaged this morning! She's gonna marry herself a cowboy! Yeehaw people! He showed the ring to just about everyone but me. Wonder why. Perhaps he thinks I have a mouth on me and would let it ...
I think she was enjoying her visit with Mandyland. We hadn't seen her in almost a week. Too long I say. Too long!! All the packing I have to do and what am I doing right now (besides blogging?) Farming on Facebook. As the youngin's would say: FML If I have to watch the Princess Stories Volume One one more time? I may pick up Sebastian and poke my own eye out. I'm thinking of opening the bottle of Southern Comfort early. I'll leave plenty for the cabin. Sigh

Parents In Disguise

That's what I felt like when we went to see Transformers tonight. The place was packed, I didn't mind that. Looking around though? Ha! I think there were maybe a handful of people older than us there. At the last minute, these two teenagers sat next to us. Again, not a problem except holy debbie downer. They poo poo'd every trailer that came on. Airbender (looks good), 2012 (looks really good mainly because it has Bossy's boyfrien d in it), Harry Potter , GI Joe and G-Force (I think I'll take the girls to that one). Those were just the ones I want to see. There were a few other trailers but nothing that peaked my interest. I just wanted to tell the kids to shush. I'm getting old right? Dammit, I thought so. The movie? So good. So very good. A lot of laugh out loud moments that I wasn't expecting. Plenty of quotable quotes. I'll post some of those tomorrow. Stopped at BW3 for a couple beers and dropped off some wings for Mandyland at work. She was h...

I Remember It All, She Doesn't

I love that Mandyland's brother was waiting for the face. :::sigh::: He's so dreamy. That is one crazy bunch right there but I love them all. Well, I'm sure I'll love Cowboy. I just don't know him yet. This is normal behaviour my friends. Totally normal. All together now: Awwwww

Happy Birthday Wench

Today is Mandyland's* 21st birthday. God help us all. The husband and I are meeting her for drinks later tonight and it should be a good time. Of course, I'll be the one getting loaded on water and the occasional pop/soda/shirley temple. I'll have fun no matter what I'm drinking. My ass won't be leaving the barstool though because I'm still having contractions and I fear that all the laughing that will happen may get things going. We'll see. *Normally I would link to her blog but since the broad hasn't updated it since November of OH SEVEN, I won't.

I'm Sending One Of These To Mandy

I like all of his qualities. The husband has all of those. I don't need to water him though. Whew. Three years and up hey? Good to know that Peanut and Baby Girl can grow a man. So many things are wrong here. I'll let you pick your favorite. These are the fellas two hours later. I don't see any growth. Me thinks they may need Viagra.

I'll Change My Mind Approximately 43 Times Before The Day Comes

Today I had an OB visit, all is going well. She asked if I had any concerns and immediately three came to mind: Pain - I don't like it and I'm certain if it knew me outside of the delivery room, it would not be friends with me. I can count on that, I'm sure. I can't have an epidural because I have two herrington steel rods in my back. With Monkey Boy, I had a PCA (patient controlled analgesic) that sorta did the trick. It took the edge off but it was still brutal. With Peanut, I had fentanyl and that sucked the big one when it came to taking pain away. I bow down before any woman who has gone drug free during labor and delivery. It's not me. As much as I would love to not use anything, I know my limits and I know what I can handle on my own. A bowling ball coming out what used to be a lima bean sized hole? That, I cannot handle without some sort of painkiller. The doc said she would have one of the anesthesiologists come and talk to me long before I have the baby so...
