I wish I was sleeping. Sadly, a regular look of, what? Exhaustion? Desperation?  We'll go with all of those things. And so much more.

How's Your Day Going?

No really, I want to know. Especially if you don't have children. Children that are driving you to the brink of insanity and then pulling you back to normalcy with the cuteness and apologies. If you're one of those people, please, do tell how awesomely fantastic your day has been. Mine? I've discovered the following: * I bought diapers for the 1yr old the other night. Size 2. She wears 4. * I clean like a motha when I'm pissed. I'd say the living room looks mighty damn organized right now. * Kids don't like a yeller for a Mama. * Mamas don't like being yellers to their kids. * Mamas feel like the biggest load of shit when they ream their kids a new one. * A horse fly just flew into the side of my head and damn, it kinda hurt. * Good news, my rotator cuff isn't torn like the asshats from 13yrs ago told me. * We still don't know what the hell is wrong with my shoulder though. * Loving a 7 yr old w/ Aspergers has got to be one of the hardest e...

I Wish It Was Because He Kissed A Girl (And He Liked It)

My son was suspended from school today. My seven year old boy. Officially suspended from school for one day. I completely understand why they had to suspend him and yet? I felt like throwing up when the words hit my brain. In full disclosure, I forgot to give him his medication this morning. I very rarely, if ever, forget to give him his meds before sending him to school. On the weekends? It's happened. But during the school week I make sure he has taken them because I'm sending him to other people. People who don't know who he is at home, people that don't know us as a family. I'm sending him to his peers. His peers that will judge him and will do it in front of him without trying to whisper because they are seven. That's how seven year olds roll. I get that. He doesn't. He doesn't get that his classmates will label him as the troublemaker. The yeller. The fighter. The one who punched, kicked and pulled at his teacher, para professional and principa...

Don't Expect This To Make Sense

So the boy has had a rough week. On Monday he physically moved a child out of a seat so that he could have it. On Thursday he attempted to twist his teacher's arms behind her back because it was time to leave the library. (Side note, glad he loves the library, shitty that he has to act out his way) Today they were all walking to their specials and two classmates weren't walking in a straight line, per the rule and he felt the need to go tell them. Then he pushed and kicked them to get in line. I'm not going to lie people, I cried when I heard this news. Finally, this afternoon he missed the bus because he didn't want to stop coloring and had a meltdown in the hallway. When I got to the school to pick him up, his paras were holding him in the hallway because he had been kicking and screaming. I know his medication hasn't really taken effect yet but I hope it does soon. I haven't updated ya'll on that, have I? (just checked, that's a no) So, to recap: He wa...

I Feel Like I'm On Another Planet

I took the boy to see Planet 51 today and if you ask him? He'll say the movie was AWESOME!!!!! WOOHOO!!! I think he liked it. The girl? She is supposed to go tomorrow to see it with Daddy. But right now? She's throwing yet another meltdown and we're not caving. We haven't caved the last few times and gall damn does it SUCK but she's been getting away with everything for too long. I feel bad because I know it's our own damn fault but she knows this. And uses it. All the time. So....I'm going to bed now. With a screaming almost 5 yr old. I certainly won't be doing any of this from yesterday. Sigh.
