Outtakes

Some outtakes from an almost failed spur of the moment family photo shoot: (please, I beg of you all, ignore the extra chin I have. also? this was hours before we ate so I don't know where the eff the chin came from. let's blame the kids shall we? ok then) (again with the alsos - sheesh - I didn't edit these - like you couldn't tell bahahahahahahaha! ha!) Blondie? Not a child I birthed. That's my niece, the Monkey. Nom nom nom on the hand. I birthed a pirate that lost his patch though. Awesome! Someone tooted maybe? Who knows with this clan. Usually this gesture means she just smacked someone but no, the redhead is not screaming her fool head off so things are alright in the world.  For now. Monkey Photo Bomb!! This would be a great shot if the baby didn't have a look of complete disdain going on.  There were some good shots that came out of this debacle - I'll have them up soon

Who knew a lifelong dream of mine could be filled at the Renaissance Festival? I sure as shit never knew but lookie there!! I'm riding on a freaking elephant!! It was awesome, fantastic and entirely way too short thankyouverymuch.  I went twice.

Had a great time at the game and was glad they won. Rocking the pink Monogon beanie because dudes? It was chilly. Not cold, just chilly in that I can't get warm chilly. Blech!

We're Talking THIS Big

The theme for this month at NaBloPoMo is Big. I realize that today is April Fool's Day and I couldn't give two shits about that. Staying true to this month's theme: Yesterday? One large, overflowing, pungent, BIG piece of shit. No exaggeration people. BIG PIECE OF SHIT day. Wanna know why? Of course you do! How could you not with that enticing intro right? Here's how yesterday made it to that glorious state: I got approximately 2 hours of sleep. Not in any consecutive form either. There's a teething baby. All sorts of awesome there. The boy got on the bus just fine. I was feeding the girls breakfast (my two girls and my 2 year old niece ). The school called. You can see where this is going yes? My seven year old boy was suspended. Again. For the third time. This time it's for three days. There goes the week. Worse? It's his last week at this school. He'll be starting his new school next week. I'll post more on that later. I went to his school, had a...

Who Wants To See Cute? You Do? Well, Here Ya Go My Friend

Behold, the cuteness that is, me. I really don't know what happened between these three photos and now but as you'll see in the couple days, it's the hair. It has to be the hair. I'm too nostalgic at this time of year. Just last night, I found 6 people I went to high school and friended them all on Facebook. Odd. That's me. I don't think my girls are going to look like me though, they look nothing like these photos and for thank? I thank whomever needs to be thanked. =0) I'm channeling my inner Gemini by making this post, and the next few, all about me. Me me me me. Maybe the kids. Who knows what my mind will spit out. I rarely do.

I Can See The Girls In These, It's The Smile

Hey! What're ya doing? Me? Just hanging out. I love the orange tint to all the photos. I have that highchair. I wish some of the outfits I wore were saved. Some of them were so stinking cute. Do you/did you guys save clothes from your babies? I have a couple outfits from each kid and of course, a pair of shoes. Can't look at them though, makes me want another one and this baby making factory is permanently closed thank you very much. But I wouldn't mind one more. Just saying. One of my absolute favorites. I love how my mom is looking at me and then there's me. Attitude already. And why doesn't my mom have the extra chin that I have now? She stayed skinny after me and had no extra parts. Damn, that line of DNA missed the train to me. Balderdash!

This Is What I Get For Not Being Able To Sleep And Being Emotional.

I can't sleep, who knows why. So....I just got done watching My Sister's Keeper. I'm pretty sure I have the book around here somewhere. I haven't read it yet (I would think that was obvious from the I think I have it part but I digress). I have a question (or 4) for you guys: Did you see the movie? Did you read the book? Which one did you like more? The book or movie ending? I already know what happens at the end of the book. Since I haven't read the book in it's entirety , I don't feel qualified to give a complete, prim and proper opine regarding this. I am going to look around today and if I don't have it, I shall go get it. I'm sure Target will have it. Bahahaha! They have everything a girl like me needs desires lusts for wants.

The Cabin, In Photos. Part II

I Can See Clearly Now

So I got some new specs a few weeks ago. So did the boy. He loves his Spongebob glasses and looks stinkin' cute in them, in my humble opinion. I got some chunky plastic frame black ones that are white on the inside. If I wasn't having such a crappy hair week month day, I would show you. Anywhoo, the boy has stepped on his glasses two times now and thankfully, they've been fixable. On a side note: did you know that some half rim glasses have the lenses held in with fishing line type stuff? Never knew that. Made it pretty easy to fix them though thankyouverymuch! SO.....my sister in law, Fluffy, told me about this website that has glasses for super duper cheap so I went there today and ordered two pairs of glasses for the boy and a pair for me. $8 a pair. EIGHT. I feel so accomplished today. I'm sure that'll pass soon enough.

Seven Year Itch?

Nah, no itches here. But it has been seven fabulous years of marriage to the greatest husband ever. Not that I've had other husbands to compare, just sayin'. Anywhoo..... I love you honey and I hope you're still awake when I get home from work! *wink wink* It's our anniversary babe. Here's to losing our sanity together. Thanks to the kids.

I'm An Equal Opportunity Embaresser

Do they even do Kindergarten graduations anymore?  My mother made this dress and I have it to pass on to the girls. I have bags under my eyes already. The pressure of Kindergarten was getting to me.  3rd grade - This hairstyle, if we can boldly call it a style , is my father's doing. It's called the "You don't want to brush your hair? You will have no hair to brush" cut. Duly noted Dad. Duly noted. 7th grade - Again, who the hell let my father near my hair with scissors?? Again?! Maybe this is why my mother and I never got along. The horrors! This was when I learned you don't cut hair when it's wet. Especially bangs. On your forehead. That people will see right away. And comment on viciously because hello?? 7th grade hell anyone? 10th grade - I don't think I can say a thing in my defense here. I really don't know what I was thinking. I mean clearly I wasn't right? Side pony? In high school. WTF? The bangs? The hell? The jacket though - I am pro...

The New Me

Thanks to G and her skills with the scissors, I have myself a new 'do. I haven't had my hairs this short since I was 21. Crikey, I feel old now. Double crikey, I just remembered that I'll be 36 this month. Not old, I know but still. 36? Where the hell did all the time go? :::sigh::: My Peanut told me that I look like Oma*. I had to control my laughing because when I first saw myself in the mirror yesterday, I thought I was looking at my mom as well. People who only met my mom said I looked just like her, people who met only my dad said I looked just like him . I think Oma wins this one.  Ignore the mess on my desk please. I do. (it usually looks a lot worse) *spellcheck would like for us change Oma to Omar. I don't think she would like that.

Nice To Meet You

Hi. I just got here last week. They call me the Littlest Little. I'm glad to be here and I'm sure I'll be seein' ya around. This my mama. She's always telling me that she loves me and is so blessed to have me in her life. Sometimes she cries. Wait, that's all the time. Someone should get her a tissue or two or a box. This is my daddy. See my pinky here? He's wrapped around it already. I don't think he minds though. This is Fluffy and she's the coolest auntie there is. Her little girl, Monkey? I dig that one. Hopefully she and I can be the best of friends. It's my uncle, Pedro Juan. Everyone says I'm a mellow baby and that he was the same way when he was but a baby. That's cool with me. I love my Peej. Hopefully I'll have photos of me with my cousins and siblings tomorrow. And Uncle Kota? Mama is trying to find the picture of us together. She's not all that fast on the uptake. Cut her some slack though k? If she gets her poop in...

Well What Do We Have Here?

A fresh, new post? Say it ain't so! It's apparent to me that a toe injury can really screw you up. We've lived with my inlaws for 2.5 years and I have never tripped while in the basement doing laundry. Sure I've cracked my noggin on the air vent that hangs low. Damn does that hurt. My feet have done me no wrong in the basement. The stairs all over the house? They have failed me miserably. Several times. A couple weeks ago, I'm bringing clothes upstairs to get ready for work and my foot decided to meet this pipe that sticks out of the floor. I've got no idea what said pipe is for, I just know that I had no problem with it until that night. I hit that damn thing, went forward, collapsible cow hamper not really breaking the fall. My arm hit the door and I thought I heard glass break. Fabulous. No, the broom hit the door. I guess I screamed because Fluffy came running down the stairs with the baby to see what happened. I managed to crawl to the steps and promptly di...

Don't Pass Out Mandy

This, my friends, is what happens when you just can't stop laughing. (Don't look at me like that. We've all tinkled some when laughing. OK , this is beyond tinkling but still, you get my drift)

What's That You Say?

I love my 'Boys .* Next year my son will be joining the class of 2021. That will be 30 years after I've graduated. Yeah, that looking like a teenager thing isn't sounding so bad right now. First major S-N-O-W storm is supposed to be coming on Saturday. That's right, I spelled it out. It's a bad four letter word. Other "spell only" words are chocolate, Yo Gabba Gabba, Wii, Boxing and School. The boy broke my heart as I was leaving preschool today. He didn't want me to leave (always) and I don't know how to help him with the transition. Well, any transition that goes smoothly is a huge win in my book (a book that is chock full of sad, pathetic losses my friends). His teachers told me to just go and they would handle him. I was crying when I left. I hate when I do that. The other moms are looking at me or even worse, some are looking at him and you see on their faces what they are thinking. Kinda hard to hide that look of disgust lady. Them looking at...
