Um Say What?

The Captain sent me an email titled "Your Worst Fears Have Come True" followed by: It's official. The Mall of America is teaming up with Nickelodeon to be the face of its amusement park formerly known as Camp Snoopy. Mall officials announced Wednesday morning that they have signed a branding-rights deal with Nickelodeon, a cable TV network for children. The deal means that popular characters from Nickelodeon cartoons, including SpongeBob SquarePants , Dora the Explorer and Jimmy Neutron , will replace Peanuts and the Gang as the mall's mascots. Please someone shoot me now. If my kids catch sight of that place, I will be a permanent resident of the MOA . Seriously. Peanut does indeed have a UTI. It only took 3 doctors visits and 4 different docs to tell us this. I'm so unsatisfied with the treatment (or lack thereof) that she received there. When your doc won't even acknowledge that maybe, just maybe, mom is right? That's the clue to get a new pediatri

Get Down With The Sickness

My Peanut has a fever*. Since Friday she's been rocking a steady fever from 101.2 to it's highest so far of 105.2 today. I took her to the doc this morning when the highest it had been was 104.5. She was on Tylenol all weekend, thank god she likes them, but the fever never went below 101 so we were getting concerned. The doc, not her normal one, said that she looked fine and because she seemed to be feeling ok, he didn't feel inclined to prescribe anything. Normally I would be all for that, I don't like medicating if I don't have to. However, my kids are weirdos and I've proven that fact several times in this blog. They don't act like normal sick kids when they are sick. When Monkey Boy was 18mos old he had a fever of 104 while we were visiting some friends in LaCrosse. You never would have known it. He was running around, giggling and have a grand ole time. Peanut is the same way although she likes to snuggle when she's tired and sick. She was great at

No Honey, I Don't Think So

Me: What about the name Quincy? Captain: Jack Klugman RIGHTTHERE in my face everytime I say that name? No thanks. Me: (laughing uncontrollably) Captain: I'm serious, I can't let you do that. Me: (trying to breathe and speak) What did Jack ever do to you? Captain: I like Jack Klugman too but no, that name's not gonna fly. Me: It's settled, Felix it shall be.

Wanna Smile?

Sure, we all do. First up, an awesome "new" song that I found a few days ago. Just watch the video. Then watch it again and again. You see new things you didn't notice before and hey, the song kicks ass! Secondly, a classic. An oldie but goodie. This one never fails to make me laugh. Alright Janice. Laugh. You know you want to.

Say What? Pardon The Dust Sirs And Ma'ams

Have I ever mentioned that migraines are evil? They suck all the life out of me and makes for an ugly me. I don't like that. My kids and husband don't like that. I finally am feeling some relief today. I work every weekend so it can't be because it's Friday. Maybe my brain is letting me get excited about going to LaCrosse in a couple weeks. Yeah, that's it. I love my kids so much but I am so excited about a weekend away from them. I should say away from the noise. The shreiking, screeching, yelling, screaming, timeouts, you get my drift yes? I'm planning to finish up a couple projects whilst I'm there. Georgia needs to practice on my head for her testing. She has one test in April and her boards in June. I'm very excited for her. It's going to be a good weekend. Three weeks and counting. Old news, Anna Nicole died . Another trainwreck that I couldn't help but watch. I want to take her daughter out of the mess she's in right now. She's gon
